About Dr. Bomben

Dr. Ross Bomben, DC, CCSP®, CSCS®

I am an elite sports chiropractor and fitness expert, a former professional track and field athlete, personal trainer and massage therapist.  Well, I guess you could say that I have had many careers in my short 33 years, each bringing me closer and closer to my ultimate dream of helping others to achieve their health goals.

My path has been calculated and driven by goal setting and achieving.  I started working out when I was 7, playing competitive soccer.  I went on to play basketball and to compete in track and field. I got a track scholarship to the University of California at Berkeley (Go Bears) where I studied exercise physiology and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human biodynamics.

While at Berkeley, I was the Jr. National Decathlon Champion, a 2-time PAC-10 Champion, a 2-time All-American, and I placed 2nd at NCAA Div I National Championships.   Even after all of that, I had not had my fill, so I went on to compete in track and field professionally.

I was trained by some of the best coaches in the world – I’m talking the ones that train athletes who medal at the Olympics. I was on fire. But, I was also plagued with injury after injury. I qualified for the 2000 Olympic Trials and during this competition I received my final injury, which forced me into retirement.

I didn’t want this to happen to anyone else, so I became a massage therapist and personal trainer.  When I learned everything there was to know in these fields, I took it up a notch and became a doctor of chiropractic and an expert at the musculoskeletal system. I then further distinguished myself by becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

I have trained, treated and coached the elderly, children, pregnant women, weekend warriors and professional athletes. I have personally experienced and witnessed my patients struggle to achieve their goals.

My extensive background has given me exactly what I need to assist you with your fitness goals in a healthy, injury free and sustainable way.
